Giving birth is a huge physical achievement for both mother and child. During pregnancy the female body is already preparing and adjusting for these strains. Returning the body to its former fitness, in other words strengthening and tightening the affected muscles, is an essential part of a healthy post-natal recovery.

Particularly the pelvic floor muscles are severely stressed and stretched out. A tighter, firmer pelvic floor, however, protects against incontinence, a prolapsed uterus and considerably improves sensitivity during sex.

With the DVD “Post-Natal Exercises” by the experienced German mid-wife Christine Niersmann you can work on shaping and tightening your physical “middle” at home. Nice and easy and at your own pace! In the twelve phases which build on each other and last from 14 to 40 minutes you can gently and carefully train your pelvic floor step by step and work up to an effective full-body workout. The DVD, however, is not a replacement for the post-natal course!
